• Drawbacks:

+ The products consume a large amount of energy (fuel, electricity)

+ The more people want to own, the more they have to work àoverwhelmed with workload, negatively impact on health.

• Benefits:

+ Life gets more comfortable and relaxing à money earned can buy happiness

+ Consumerism boosts the development of economies à raise demand for commercial products, create more jobs, enhance the standard of living

+ Encourage people to continuously better themselves to keep pace with the society’s growth.

Conclusion:

• Purchasing modern amenities to give life more comfort can have its pros and cons.
• The benefits can justify the drawbacks as consumerism brings significant progress for both business and individuals.
